Dividend Tax Calculator 2026/27
Estimate personal dividend tax using your salary and dividend income. Dividends are taxed differently from employment pay and must be considered alongside your other income.
What are the dividend tax rates for 2026/27?
The dividend allowance is £500. From 6 April 2026, rates above available allowances are 10.75% basic, 35.75% higher and 39.35% additional. The historical 2025/26 basic and higher rates were 8.75% and 33.75%. Dividends within an ISA are not subject to dividend tax.
How do salary and dividends interact?
Salary normally uses the Personal Allowance and tax bands before dividends. The £500 dividend allowance is a nil-rate band and still uses tax-band capacity. Total income can reduce the Personal Allowance above £100,000. This estimate is not a company profit, Corporation Tax or full salary-versus-dividend optimisation calculation.
